London, 15.2.2001: OpenTrade Technologies has appointed Tony Kingston as Marketing Director. Tony's main responsibility will be to lead OpenTrade’s marketing team in taking Orbita, the real-time messaging and application integration software system to the company’s target markets.

Tony has 24 years experience in sales and marketing roles in the IT hardware and software industry, with experience of many markets and detailed knowledge of the service industry, especially the financial services, CRM and middleware technologies sectors. For the last six years, Tony has been with OpenTrade Technologies in a variety of marketing management roles.

Says Tony Kingston, 'OpenTrade has incredible strength and pedigree in the financial services sector. Our immediate task is to ensure that we will build on those attributes to expand our presence throughout the sector. Outside of our traditional markets we will work in partnership with strategic partners, like CMG and SGI to address new market opportunities for our unique real time publish/subscribe messaging middleware. We have already made an excellent start on this objective with the recent signing of the deal for the Orbita enabled CMG Cross application to Shell Oil.
