QuoteMe4 (QM4), the new service that puts shoppers and suppliers in contact with each other over the Internet, has selected Connaught as its outsourced bureau partner for a range of fax and email services. The QM4.com service was launched, amidst a blaze of publicity, on 9th June 2000.
Connaught will supply a range of information receipt and delivery services to QM4 including fax-to-email and email-to-post services to enhance both the flexibility and efficiency of the new service.
How QM4 works
QM4.com connects shoppers to suppliers - who then compete for their business. It works as follows.
Consumers go the QM4 web site (www.QM4.com) and enter their requirements. QM4 then forwards requests anonymously to appropriate suppliers registered in its database by email or post. Personalised quotes received by QM4 from these suppliers are then forwarded to consumers FREE of charge by email, enabling consumers to contact the supplier of their choice.
For consumers, QM4.com provides shopping ease and the power to make the final decision over what they buy. For suppliers, QM4.com delivers qualified sales leads and the opportunity to benefit from the e-commerce explosion without having to manage a website - or even use e-mail.
Currently, QM4’s service covers both business and consumer requests in many service areas including: home, garden, insurance, finance, travel, motor, antiques, events, learning, hire, property, and computers.
QM4 have utilised Connaught’s services in a wide number of innovative ways. Initially, QM4 worked with Connaught to develop a very sophisticated Fax-on-Demand service whereby suppliers would automatically receive summaries of business requests available to them. With this summary request, the suppliers were able to Dial-A-Request from the Connaught fax archive and have it delivered to any fax they requested. A fast, flexible and dynamic solution driven by the demand for optional forms of communication.
More recently, Connaught and QM4 developed a dynamic promotional service that allowed QM4’s marketing offices in Dublin, Ireland, to deliver multiple e-mails into Connaught. Once at Connaught, these emails would be automatically printed, folded, enclosed, franked and placed into the postal system for next day delivery. The solution enables QM4 to distribute its marketing efforts without having to worry about the expense of print, folding etc. for each marketing point - virtual direct mail!
QM4 also utilise Connaught’s fax solutions by dedicating a range of fax numbers to QM4 response lines. Faxes are converted to email and distributed to the appropriate QM4 divisions. This again gives QM4 the flexibility to manage its incoming fax demand and ensure 0% busy, 100% productive - and environmentally friendly to boot!
