Experienced Executives to Fuel Geographic and Market Growth

Blue Martini Software, a provider of enterprise class e-business applications for understanding, targeting and interacting with customers and partners, today announced senior management appointments to provide leadership in marketing, professional services, strategic alliances and Asia-Pacific business development.

William H. Evans has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific. Evans will be responsible for establishing Blue Martini Software's presence in Asia, beginning with Japan, Greater China and Australia.

Evans had been vice president of marketing at Blue Martini Software since it was founded in June 1998. Prior to this he was vice president and general manager of the Aziza Division of Objectivity, Inc., a developer of database management software that developed and marketed one of the industry's first web content management systems. Previously Evans was vice president of marketing at Objectivity.

Laurent Pacalin has been appointed Blue Martini Software's vice president of marketing. Pacalin comes to Blue Martini Software from Corio Inc., where he was vice president of business development and alliances. This followed five years at Oracle Corporation in various executive positions, including vice president, Americas Marketing, and vice president business development, Enterprise Applications. Prior to this he was with Novell Inc., as director of business alliances.

Jeanne Klima Urich, vice president of global professional services and training, joins Blue Martini Software from Nortel Networks, where she was senior vice president, global e-business professional services and training. Previously Urich held a similar position at Clarify, and was worldwide director of technology services at Compaq Corporation. Urich is responsible for Blue Martini Software's professional services and training organisation.

Chip Overstreet, vice president of market strategy and business development, was previously president and CEO of RTIME, Inc., a division of Sony Computer Entertainment America. At Blue Martini Software, he leads the company's vertical market strategy, managing business relationships with leading technology partners to ensure Blue Martini can deliver complete, integrated solutions to customers in manufacturing, financial services, retail and other markets.
