Newly appointed sales executives lead international charge

London, February 26th, 2001 - Resonate Inc., (NASDAQ: RSNT), the leading provider of active service level management solutions for e-business applications, today announced the company’s international expansion in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Resonate announced the official opening of its European headquarters in Paris, France, Asian headquarters in Tokyo, Japan and Latin American headquarters in Miami, Florida. The company has also appointed key sales executives to lead the global expansion. Resonate’s worldwide headquarters is located in Sunnyvale, California.

Resonate solutions assure service levels of e-business applications, providing high availability and performance while using existing infrastructure investments. These management solutions are the only solutions available today that deliver policy-based system and application-specific service level monitoring and measurement combined with real-time, active service level control, including traffic management and application process control. The new sales offices dedicated to Europe, Asia and Latin America will drive the delivery and support of Resonate solutions throughout these geographies.

To lead the expansion in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Resonate has appointed Jean-François Guyomar as vice president of sales, EMEA. Guyomar will be based out of the European Resonate headquarters located in Paris, France. Prior to joining Resonate, Guyomar held executive sales positions for BackWeb and Netscape in Europe.

Resonate has also appointed Yoshiyuki Nakura as director of sales, Japan. Nakura will manage sales operations in Japan and will be based out of the Resonate headquarters in Asia located in Tokyo, Japan. Nakura previously held the positions of senior project manager at Cisco Systems and general manager of Japan operations at DataBeam Corporation. Resonate has also tapped Roland Wang, sales representative, to manage sales operations in Asia excluding Japan. Prior to Resonate, Wang was a regional manager with Sun Professional Services.

With the market for service level management solutions expanding into Latin America, Resonate has appointed Javier Codeso as director of sales, Latin America. Codeso will be based out of Miami, Florida - Resonate headquarters for Latin America. Prior to joining Resonate, Codeso was regional manager for the Latin America headquarters for Compaq Computer, where he led the sales of business critical servers into the telecommunication and financial services industries.
