There is site maintenance being carried out this weekend and there may be brief periods where we are unavailable. If so, please try again 10 minutes later.

There are a lot of stories surfacing about the problems of companies deep linking to internal Web pages of other companies. One UK company, LinkGuard Ltd., is working on a solution to this link hijacking problem. LinkGuard is creating the first complete link map of the Web. The map will allow companies to see who is linking to their sites and, for the first time, track inbound links to their Web sites.

The map is a 40 terabyte distributed database (i.e. the equivalent of 40 billion business letters, the distance between London and San Francisco in shelf space!). Both Dell and Intel are partnering with LinkGuard in this huge effort. For a fresh perspective on the link hijacking issue, please contact LinkGuard.
