£5,000 first prize for small and medium businesses in the region
London, 5 March 2001: Webcom 2001, in association with the eBusiness Conference, the UK’s leading e-business exhibition and Conference (www.web-com.co.uk), has once again signed up as London sponsor of the E-Commerce Awards 2001, the e-commerce competition for small business.
Set up by the Government-backed UK online for business and InterForum, the awards celebrate and reward best practice in the use of electronic business amongst companies with fewer than 250 employees in the UK.
The awards consist of 11 regional heats, with each regional winner receiving £5,000. Second and third placed businesses will win £2,000 and £1,000 respectively. Winners of the regional heats will then go through to the national final for a chance to win £30,000.
