Preparations are well under way for the greatest online information show
on
earth in London later this year.

In December more than 350 companies at the cutting edge of the information
industry will gather in the Olympia exhibition centre in what has become
over the last quarter of a century the largest single show of its kind in
the world.

The exhibition and conference, Online Information 2001, is once again
being
staged by Oxford-based Learned Information.

The exhibitors are information providers from around the world as well as
from Britain. Countries represented will include the Netherlands, Finland,
Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and
Ireland.

Key speakers from Britain and further afield also will be sharing the
latest
news and views on information management at scheduled conference sessions.

Event Director Katherine Allen says: “Online Information is still almost
nine months away, but already over 200 companies have booked their
exhibition stand. Over the coming months we can confidently expect the
number to rise steadily.”

Last year, the show was a huge success with 346 exhibitors. More than
15,600
visitors attended.

“Feedback immediately after last December’s show,” says Allen, “was very
positive indeed. And since we sent out preliminary details for Online
Information 2001 at the beginning of this year, interest has been
enormous.
We could be preparing for the best Online Information ever.”
