Westica Ltd, a supplier of point-to-point digital radio wireless solutions, has announced it will be exhibiting its digital wireless radio product at CeBIT 2001, Germany.
Westica will be demonstrating its 1.4GHz point-to-point wireless digital radio, which provides precise and reliable data communications. Chris Burnett, CEO of Westica, explains, “Using the most advanced technologies available, we have developed the worlds most compact, flexible and feature rich 1.4GHz Multirate Digital Radio System. This unique product is ideal for digital transmission in radio networks, and offers a range of digital interfaces compatible with network infrastructure equipment.”
When customers consider leased line or cable communication solutions, location and local terrain are major factors. Traditional cable services are not always viable and therefore the Multirate Radio provides a flexible and cost effective solution to this process. 1.4GHz may be regarded as “near” line of sight technology, rather than the traditional clear line of sight requirement, enabling it to be used in applications where radio may not normally be considered. The choice of Westica's solution is driven by the compelling need of Telco's to rapidly build reliable networks wherever they operate. The Telco's are subsequently encouraged by the fact that the 1.4GHz band is regulated and available on a global scale.
Burnett concludes: “The CeBIT exhibition is the ideal platform for Westica to demonstrate the best in digital wireless solutions for our customers. The Multirate radio is a tried and tested building block for mobile radio networks and offers innovative design to promote network compatibility.”
Westica’s principal aim is to be a major strategic player in the emerging global telecommunications wireless infrastructure markets, through providing leading edge solutions backed by a world class quality and service culture. Support for this vision in the form of substantial institutional investment in recent years has accelerated the development of revolutionary technology leading to volume production and deployment of Westica’s multirate radio product in the 1.4GHz band.
