IBM and EDB 4tel have decided to increase their cooperation and concentrate
on attracting customers in the telecommunications sector. The two companies
will market EDB 4tel's leading Customer Care and Billing (CCB) solution on
IBM's full range of platforms.

The cooperation is an escalation of an agreement signed by the two
companies in June last year. The original agreement between IBM and EDB
4tel was based on EDB 4tel's CCB solution and IBM S/390 hardware and
software products.

The new agreement makes EDB 4tel a full independent software vendor, and an
important part of IBM's Inner Circle Program. EDB 4tel will receive greater
access to IBM resources, enabling it to enhance its knowledge of IBM's
