Brussels, Belgium - March 12th 2001- Dialogic, an Intel company, today announced the immediate availability of its CT Connect(tm) version 5.0 software, the latest version of its Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) call control server software.

The Enterprise Edition of the CT Connect version 5.0 software is the first CTI call control server software to provide Third Party Call Control for Internet protocol (IP) Telephony-compliant CTI applications through its integrated H.323 compliant voice over IP gatekeeper. This Dialogic-patented gatekeeper is also compliant with the CSTA call control standard.

By enabling CTI applications to operate in voice over IP environments as easily as in traditional PBX environments, the CT Connect version 5.0 software enables operators of IP-based multimedia contact centres to use voice over IP in conjunction with powerful Customer Relationship Management (CRM), contact management, customer service and support applications.

The CT Connect version 5.0 software will also enable existing CTI application developers to market their applications for use in voice over IP environments with little or no change. IP-based and traditional PBX-based voice services can be integrated across multiple locations and multi-vendor switching environments. And when used in conjunction with Dialogic’s IPLink(tm) Gateway software and the Intel(r) Internet Phone SDK, the CT Connect version 5.0 software will facilitate the rapid and easy development of comprehensive voice over IP (VoIP) solutions for both enterprise and service providers.

Easy Distribution of Applications

The CT Connect version 5.0 software is highly effective when used in a distributed call center environment. In particular, the product can facilitate server-to-server communications where contact centre managers are able to track and manage calls, as well as automatically transfer call-associated data as calls move between telephone switches and multiple CT Connect servers in a TCP/IP network.

“The combination of CT Connect software with the CSTA Gatekeeper enables our strategic partners to greatly increase the value of their applications to enterprise customers and service providers by integrating the quality handling of phone calls originating from a variety of sources,” explained Carl Strathmeyer, director of strategic marketing for Dialogic. “The new enterprise server configuration is an essential building block for developing distributed computer-telephone integration applications and adding voice over IP call control.”

CT Connect V5.0 software is available immediately. End-user pricing is based on the selected licensing option: Enterprise configuration, $27,500; Full configuration, $18,000; 75 association configuration, $9,000; 25 association configuration, $3,000 and monitor-only configuration, $6,600.
