GSM operator, has successfully expanded SMS mobile-originated and
Mobile-terminated services, deploying Comverse's ISMSC (Intelligent Short
Messaging Solution) to their 2.1 million subscribers.
Comverse's ISMSC is a high-performance SMS solution that provides
scaleable capacity enabling mobile network operators to keep pace with the
tremendous growth in short message and mobile data traffic. Comverse's
Short Message solution also offers open connectivity to the Web and
SMS-based applications and it has built-in readiness for EMS (Enhanced
Messaging Solution), GPRS, UMTS and other emerging technologies.
max.mobil has deployed the ISMSC solution in stages, beginning with the
expansion of its SMS-mobile-originated capacity. Following the initial
deployment max.mobil deployed Comverse's ISMSC applications-based SMPP
Gateway (Short Message Peer to Peer). This provided max.mobil the ability
to broaden their SMPP offering including such services as: max.mail,
Quickinfo, email/SMS-Gateway, and its Web-based SMS
Service, as well as provide built-in redundancy for all its SMS services.
