MGI receives double honours for Zoom Image Server at EnterpriseVision Europe Wednesday 14 March 2001 PDF Print MGI Zoom Image Server voted ‘Best Software’ by senior systems integrators at Gartner event MGI, a leader in visual media software products and infrastructure, today announced that it received two out of five of the 'Best of EnterpriseVision Europe 2001 Awards' at the recent Gartner channel event, for its Internet imaging software product, MGI Zoom Image Server. Organised by Vision Events (a Gartner Company), the EnterpriseVision Europe Awards are the only awards to be voted solely by Europe’s leading systems integrators and technology consultancies. More than 40 systems integrator executives voted on the winning products and companies after previewing, reviewing and evaluating the latest technology in private boardroom appointments. These meetings are an integral part of the decision-making process undertaken by the participants in order to provide the best solutions to their clients. Peter Eisenhauer, vice president, International, Vision Events, said, “The participating systems integrators review numerous products and potential suppliers at our Events. Through the EnterpriseVision Awards, vendors are credited for their innovation and business leadership. This year, they have recognised MGI as a leader in the field of Internet imaging technology.” Stephen Mold, MGI’s managing director Europe, said, “Receiving two awards at EnterpriseVision is an honour, as they are bestowed by important organisations that recommend and implement our software in the real world.” At the event, MGI received awards for ‘Best Presentation’ and ‘Best Software Product’ for its Zoom Image Server technology. Zoom Image Server is an Internet imaging platform that integrates with existing web infrastructures to manage and serve all images that display on a web site. It is particularly ideal for any site where images play a critical role in influencing purchasing decisions. The platform has a modular architecture that enables e-businesses to plug in a myriad of immersive imaging applications, including 360-degree panoramas, 3D objects and virtual environments, that are proven to increase online sales, reduce product returns and retain customers. MGI’s Internet imaging technologies are used by well-known e-tailers, stock photography sites, in business-to-business online marketplaces, and in estate agency and travel and tourism sectors.
