Tim Murray has worked in telecoms for nineteen years as a corporate
financier, consultant and engineer. He left the City to found Pilotbird in
December 1999.

He was an investment banker for six years, most recently as Global Head of
Communications and Technology at Schroders. There he built and led a team
of 45 corporate financiers and securities analysts in New York, London and
Hong Kong. Before joining Schroders, Tim was Head of European Telecoms at
BZW. His banking clients have included BT, Motorola, Rétévision, Tele
Danmark, France Telecom, TIW, BCE and the Governments of Australia,
Italy, Poland and Sweden.

Before banking, Tim spent eight years with Mercer Management Consulting,
providing a broad range of strategic advice to European telecoms
Prior to joining Mercer, he completed a university scholarship programme
with BT and worked for BT as a software engineer.

Tim has an MBA (with distinction) from INSEAD and a degree in Electrical
Engineering from Cambridge University.
