Staffordshire, UK – March 15th, 2001 – GFI Informatics announced today it has achieved Silver Certification from Cisco Systems, Inc. The Cisco partner certification program provides GFI Informatics with the resources to develop an expertise in selling, implementing and supporting Cisco network solutions. By achieving Silver Certification status, GFI Informatics can ensure customers it has excellent network knowledge and support capabilities.

"The purpose of our Certification Program is to build channel partner expertise," said Paul Salmon, Director of Technical Operations, EMEA Channels, Cisco Systems Inc. "Silver Certification status provides strong recognition of GFI Informatics commitment to delivering superior network knowledge and customer service."

GFI Informatics, the combined resource of ECS Ltd. and GADC Networks, was previously a Cisco Premier Partner. It is now one of the largest independent solution providers in the UK, achieving Silver Partner status in record time. GFI Informatics is one of six Silver Partners in the UK.

Scott Wakefield, Business Development at GFI Informatics added; "This is excellent news as it significantly increases our awareness and credibility both within Cisco and in the marketplace in general. Given that Cisco is by far the biggest supplier of networking equipment in the UK (and world-wide), to be part of a committed and elite group of Cisco partners is important to us and our customers. Acquiring Silver Certification status required specialised training over an extended period and an intensive audit of procedures to ensure more rigorous standards are met."

On the support side, GFI demonstrated a strong capability to provide comprehensive customer support on an 8 x 5 basis*. In addition, GFI has met the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) requirement for Silver Certification, a tremendous accomplishment in itself. GFI and the Cisco account management team will continue working to develop its relationship, and to enhance mutual capabilities in supporting GFI and their customers.
