CeBIT, Hannover, March 22-28 (Booth located at Hall 17, Booth C70) - Dialogic, an Intel(r) company, will highlight a variety of technologies, services and solutions for Next Generation Networks at CeBIT 2001, March 22-28 at the Deutsche Messe Fair and Exhibition Centre in Hannover. The world’s largest and most important information and technology event will feature the latest in Dialogic building blocks for enterprises and service providers. A strategic alliance pavilion will also showcase innovative solutions from over eight customers who have based their next generation applications on Dialogic technology.

Building the Next Generation Network

The Next Generation Network describes the convergence of the circuit-switched telephone network, the wireless network and the Internet onto a single packet-based network that enables flexible, scalable and cost-efficient services. Dialogic will be showcasing a broad range of technologies and resources for building, buying and hosting open, standards-based platforms for the Next Generation Network.

The Voice Portal Reference System (VPRS), a new hardware and software system will be featured at the show. It combines the power, reliability and high volume capabilities of Intel(r) Architecture and enables phone-based access to Internet content through speech recognition. All major speech technology providers such as IBM, L&H, Nuance, Philips Speech Processing, SpeechWorks, Temic and Vocalis have announced their support for this initiative and for Dialogic’s CSP (Continuous Speech Processing), a technology that extends the way speech technologies can be deployed on its extensive range of voice processing hardware products.

Other carrier-grade building blocks being exhibited at the show include Dialogic high-availability cPCI components and new SS7 technology from recently acquired Datakinetics and Ziatech.

The latest in Dialogic converged communications technology for enterprises will also be highlighted, including the recently launched Intel(r) Converged Communications Platform, a standards-based platform for e-business contact centers, IP gateways, and a communications application servers. The Dialogic iPOD appliance, which links PBXs to data networks in enterprise communications systems, and other Dialogic technology, services and support for voice-enabling businesses in the Internet economy will also be one of the technologies featured.

Dialogic will also be playing host to strategic alliances focused on best-of-breed next generation network solutions:


will be showcasing TeleVation(r), a software-based phone system. TeleVation(r) supports unified messaging, contact centre, Voice-over-IP and other communications services - and is available in both English and German.


will be demonstrating Oké Communicator, a Multimedia Contact Centre product that supports PBX, ACD, IVR, CTI, voice mail, fax server and other applications.

Envox will be showing Envox 4.0, communications development software that enables service providers and corporates to build communications applications on a single Windows NT(r) or Win(r)2000 platform that integrate diverse voice, web, messaging and database technologies. Using Envox 4.0, developers can build, for example, a customer contact center featuring web automation and PC-based telephony switching and call routing - and provide control of all these functions through a single administration interface.

Infitel will be demonstrating InfiCore 1.2(tm), a high-performance Telecommunications Network Service Platform (TNSP) for converged network services (PSTN, VoIP, Web and WAP). Infitel is a pioneer of network-convergent technology and service solutions for the telecommunications industry, and has offices in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Italy.

Novavox will be showcasing Smartphone, a unified messaging product designed around Microsoft Exchange/Outlook and targeted at the SME sector. Smartphone's focus on ease-of-use, installation and configuration ensures that set up and maintenance costs are minimized.

Parity will be demoing its Voice Portal framework. The framework is built on the company’s VOS development software and contains a set of VOS interfaces (RLLs), VOS source code and documentation. User features include: Barge-in, Speaker Verification, Email reading (Spanish & English). Services to be demoed include movies, directory services/ yellow pages (hotels, restaurants, pharmacies, etc.) and lottery results. The framework also supports L&H’s RealSpeak text-to-speech technology and Nuance’s natural language speech technologies.

Techno et Control will be demonstrating several next generation services including an automatic teleconferencing service, a mass fax and fax-on-demand handling system, and a unified messaging and mass call handling platform for network-based announcements.

Time Communications will be showcasing its VOXarè Communication Management Platform (VOXarè CMP). The modular VOXarè CMP is capable of switching voice and data on an ATM backbone integrated into TCP/IP network. Using the company’s VOXaré Scenario Builder development software, system owners can build flexible ACD, IVR, voice mail, fax mail, SMS (Short Message Services), Contact Center and SoftPBX solutions.
