Former ICL and Sanyo boss joins UK wireless, mobile and Voice Services MSP

Lammtara Industries, provider of managed access to applications and databases via WAP, GPRS (2.5 & 3G technologies), SMS, WEB platforms and Voice Service Provision (VSP), has made a significant personnel appointment.
Stephen Sowery has joined Lammtara Industries as the CEO.

Sowery comments, “The computer industry has all but been ‘played out’ in terms of significant profits and capital gains, and so room for further personal and market growth is now limited. Time spent researching other market sectors that are likely to offer the same returns and growth as the computer industry has demonstrated only one opportunity – the convergence within the mobile, wireless and telecoms sectors.”

Through a number of key industry contacts Sowery has made over the years, he identified Lammtara Industries as a key player likely to influence market direction, and by using skills developed within the computer industry, is now excited about extending his career. He continues, “Twenty years ago the PC industry grew phenomenally, almost exponentially and this is exactly the same growth rate we are seeing from the mobile and wireless sector now.”

Stephen Sowery has been a significant player in the computer industry for over twenty years, primarily in Services and Software, and has held directorships with several high profile IT companies. Stephen has worked as Director of ICL Product Operations, as Managing Director of the MBS plc subsidiary Data Distributors, and, more recently, he ran a two-year project as Managing Director for the Computer Division of Sanyo Electronics. His main achievements to date have included growth of Data Distributors from £7M to £60M within 3 years and the establishment and development of Technology plc Services from zero to £6M in one year. In addition, Stephen has experience in undertaking two MBIs and a MBO.

Lammtara Industries offers a structured and proven approach for solutions to mobile and remote working. Functioning at the cutting edge of technology and utilising some of the most advanced technology platforms currently available, Lammtara ensures a fast, efficient and effective managed access to applications and Internet/Intranet databases.
