...Latest version introduces Tridion Business Connector, enhanced
BluePrint Management functionality, improved workflow and versioning and
broad platform support...

Tridion, a leading European provider of XML-based web content management
software, announced today at CeBIT that it will next week begin shipping
an updated version of its core product, Tridion DialogServer 4.2.

With version 4.2, Tridion DialogServer provides:

· Tridion Business Connector, a new and generic solution which allows
companies to easily exchange XML content between Tridion DialogServer and
their existing back-office applications;

· Extended BluePrint Management functionality, which helps companies to
manage a constellation of websites in multiple languages;

· Improved Workflow and Versioning capabilities, allowing companies to
define and manage business processes, as well as gain control over version
management and modification history of all content;

· A new Presentation System architecture based on JAVA technology with
extended support for market-leading application servers, web servers and
operating systems.

Tridion Business Connector

The Tridion Business Connector allows companies to easily exchange content
between Tridion DialogServer and their existing applications. Built on
top of open industry standards like XML, XSLT, SOAP and BIZTALK, Tridion
DialogServer synchronises with an impressive range of third-party
applications. This seamless integration with existing back-office systems
allows Tridion DialogServer to manage the total life-cycle of
business-critical content and provide full control over the delivery of
this content to the web.

BluePrint Management

Version 4.2 includes enhancements in DialogServer's BluePrint Management
functionality that enable companies to achieve global brand consistency
across a constellation of websites in multiple languages. BluePrint
Management allows customers to set-up a centrally managed blueprint that
regional teams can use to develop and localise their country website. This
optimal task-division, between central and local teams, allows local
authors to use central content, layout and functions, but also gives them
the ability to customise these items when they need to be translated into
local languages and modified with local nuance.

Workflow and Versioning

Tridion DialogServer 4.2 delivers several enhancements in the areas of
workflow management and version control. With this latest version,
companies can easily define and manage business workflow processes to
ensure the necessary approval, quality checks and integrity procedures are
carried out before content is published to the web. Manual tasks can be
assigned to users or groups, and automated tasks can be performed by
external programs and scripts. The DialogServer graphical user interface
is extended to allow users to view and act upon their task lists as well
as allowing managers to monitor task status or history.

Tridion DialogServer 4.2 also provides improved version control and
rollback functionality by maintaining complete version histories of all
content and templates as they are developed and updated. DialogServer's
rollback functionality allows for instant recovery of any earlier version
of content.

Multi-platform Support

Tridion DialogServer 4.2 also features a new, multi-platform Presentation
System architecture. Based on JAVA, DialogServer's presentation system
seamlessly integrates with market-leading application servers such as BEA
WebLogic and IBM Websphere, runs on leading web servers from Microsoft,
iPlanet and Apache, and operating systems from Microsoft, Sun Solaris and
