As a result of the £1bn+ acquisition of Admiral last year by CMG plc, one
Europe's leading suppliers of Information and Communication Technology
services, CMG UK is to take on the Admiral name. CMG UK will now be known
as CMG Admiral. This is to signify the strengthening of the company
the combination of people, skills and resources from the two businesses
brought together by the merger. Already working with many of the top
private and public sector organisations, and numbering some 3,300 staff,
Admiral is focused on achieving clear market leading status and
CMG plc acquired Admiral plc in June 2000. The majority of Admiral's
business was in the UK, where it was similar in size to CMG's local
operation. The combined company is therefore a far more powerful force in
the UK market, capable of addressing a wider range of customers and
projects. Since the acquisition, the two companies have been working

CMG Admiral has proven knowledge, solutions and products across a wide
spectrum of markets, including finance, transport, telecommunications,
media, petrochemicals, utilities, retail, manufacturing and government
agencies. The Group also provides outsourced business services ranging
payroll processing, call centres and networked systems to infrastructure
management, application maintenance and hosting.
CMG Group results for the year 2000 were announced on the 26 February 2001
and, including the 7 month contribution from Admiral, revealed a 33%
increase in turnover for the year to £810.4 million and pre-tax profits up
36% to £117.0 million. With external commentators projecting market
rates for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services in
Western Europe during 2001 to be ahead of 2000, CMG's strong growth rate
expected to continue. In the UK in particular, CMG is looking for good
growth in both revenues and profit from the newly combined CMG Admiral
business in its first full year of operation.
In a period when the technology sector has been subject to numerous
disappointments, many major organisations are turning to well-established
systems integrators for their long term electronic and mobile commerce
strategies. Such strategies have to be linked to an appropriate
infrastructure and marketing strategy that embraces both the front and
office functions of a business and extends out to other business partners
the supply chain. CMG Admiral has a thorough understanding of the
