ITF SDK Recognised Third Year in a Row by Leading Notes/Domino Publication; Cited as “Incredibly Valuable Asset” for Development of Notes Applications

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. USA, 28 March 2001 — IT FACTORY, the leading supplier of collaborative e-business solutions, announced that its ITF Software Development Kit™ has been awarded the prestigious Editors’ Choice Award Silver from the highly respected technical publication Lotus Advisor. The Editors' Choice Awards winners appeared in the April 2001 issue of Lotus Advisor Magazine, which is available on newsstands from 23 March. This is the third year in a row that the IT FACTORY has won the Editors’ Choice award in this category from Lotus Advisor.

The editors at Lotus Advisor wrote in their review: “IT Factory's Software Development Kit (SDK) provides a technically unparalleled Domino development architecture. The SDK provides an innovative and unique “object-oriented” approach to Domino database development, letting an entire enterprise standardize on unified development architecture, standards, and user interface. ”The review concludes that “if you choose to use one or more of the many robust applications found in the ITF Plus Suite, the SDK will prove to be an incredibly valuable asset to your organization.”

“This award from such a prominent and highly regarded technical publication is an important validation of the business value of our Software Development Kit,” said Lars Johansen, president and CEO of Cambridge-based IT FACTORY. “As companies continue to realise the need for next-generation collaborative Web applications, a robust and integrated Notes/Domino development environment like the ITF SDK becomes more important than ever.”

The industry’s first commercial SDK for Lotus Notes, the ITF Software Development Kit is a comprehensive set of development tools that enable the rapid development of highly structured, integrated and Web-enabled Notes/Domino business applications. The ITF SDK builds upon a uniform set of objects, databases and design methodologies to bring much needed structure to Notes application development. The latest release of the ITF Software Development Kit, ITF 5.5, announced in October 2000, enables complete browser-based access to collaborative applications, addressing the critical need for collaborative applications that can be easily deployed via the Web. In addition, ITF 5.5 includes specific functionality and features that address the unique challenges of delivering collaborative applications via the ASP (application service provider) rentable software model.

This Lotus Advisor Editors’ Choice Award is only the most recent in a long history of industry recognition earned by IT FACTORY’s Software Development Kit. The ITF SDK also won Lotus’ highly coveted “Best Tool/Utility” Beacon Award. In addition, IT FACTORY’s ITF Business Suite won the Lotus Beacon Award for “Best Cross-Industry Solution,” while the Company’s Commerce Accelerator product, acquired as part of the Company’s acquisition of Corporate Image Software in January 2000, has won two Editors’ Choice Awards from Advisor Media.
