New framework outlines strategy to team with premier complementary software
vendors to deliver complete e-business solutions

Tridion, a leading European provider of XML-based web content management
software, today announced its new Software Partner Framework, a
comprehensive program that enables its customers to easily combine Tridion's
best-of-breed XML-based web content management software with an extended
range of complementary e-business applications.

Built on a non-proprietary and component-based architecture, Tridion
DialogServer makes extensive use of open Internet standards, such as XML
(Extensible Markup Language), COM+ and JAVA. These open standards allow
Tridion DialogServer to be integrated seamlessly with a host of other
enterprise software applications. By investing in the development of
standard, out-of-the-box integrations, Tridion allows its customers to
easily create, manage and deploy their business-critical content across a
wide-range of e-business applications and platforms.

"From the beginning, we made the decision to focus our product development
efforts squarely on XML-based web content management," said Jouk Pleiter,
president at Tridion. "We recognise that content management is just one
crucial piece of any enterprise e-business software infrastructure, so we've
made it a priority to integrate Tridion DialogServer with complementary
e-business software market-leaders. Our strategy of providing standard,
out-of-the-box integrations allows our customers to benefit from a faster
implementation of their e-business strategy, and more importantly, from a
faster time-to-market of their online business initiatives."

Jeffrey Mann, vice president, International Electronic Business Strategies
at META Group said, "Enterprise content management requires a variety of
different solutions to meet the full gamut of requirements. Rather than
trying to be all things to all people, Tridion is building an ecosystem of
related solution providers, an approach which will appeal to many users."

Tridion's Software Partner Framework consists of the following e-business
software categories.

· Content Creation Framework - Content Creation partners deliver software
that allows users to publish a variety of web, e-mail and print documents.

· Content Localisation Framework - Content Localisation service providers
are companies that deliver a wide range of multilingual B2B solutions
including translation and localisation technologies and services.

· Content Syndication Framework - Content Syndication partners provide
software that gives customers control over the distribution and use of
digital assets-such as news feeds and stock quotes-while simplifying the
receipt and deployment for subscribers.

· Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Framework - EAI partners are
market leaders in supplying software products that allow customers to
seamlessly integrate their many disparate business systems.

· E-commerce Framework - E-commerce technology partners produce software
that allows customers to fully manage online transactions, catalogue
management, as well as integrated back-end logistic and financial systems.

· E-Customer Relationship Management (e-CRM) Framework - Software partners
under this category supply integrated systems that help companies understand
and target individual customers based on interests and behaviour.

· Enterprise Portal Framework - Enterprise Portal Framework partners provide
all the membership management, personalisation, aggregation, security and
integration services necessary for deploying business portals.

· Technology Foundation Framework - Technology Foundation Framework partners
offer a variety of platform technologies including application servers, web
servers, relational databases, operating systems and full text search

Currently, close partnerships and tight integrations already exist with a
number of market-leading enterprise software vendors such as Microsoft,
Verity, Oracle, iPlanet, and InterShop.
