ProVision Workbench answers the key What, How, Why, Who, Where and When questions for business

Bloor Research Group ( has recently reviewed the Business Modelling sector, the results of which may be seen in a series of articles scheduled to be published over the next four weeks on the Tech-Spot area of the IT- web site ( The Bloor Research review addresses and provides informed comments upon the overall key functions and objectives provide by business modelling both in general and via example.

Business Modelling is, as its name suggests, all about the documentation and analysis of the processes and procedures within an organisation. The aim is to understand what a business is doing and why things are done the way they are. This knowledge can then be used to find new efficiencies and alternative methods that can make better use of resources and reduce costs. Business Modelling answers the key questions for all parts of a business – What, How, Why, Who, Where and When.

Amongst its conclusions, the review observes that with ProVision Workbench, Winsoft Business Solutions Limited, has come up with one of the few products that can cope with basic requirements of business modelling - picking up the fundamental reasoning behind a business activity and following it through to implementation. Furthermore, the review points out that ProVision Workbench addresses an issue that exists in all businesses – understanding why things are done the way they are and providing a technique for recognising the need for change and implementing those changes.

Commenting upon the Bloor Research review, Matthew Brown, Managing Director of Winsoft commented “the review gives a comprehensive and reasoned overview of the business modelling sector, from our prospective, ProVision Workbench provides businesses with a collection of tools that anybody should be able to use with little training and experience and that can, if required, be extended to take into account the needs of an IT solution. What’s more”, Brown continued, “ProVision Workbench provides flexibility and choice so that users can decide what works best for them”.
