Jason Stamper has been an IT journalist and editor for over 7 years, with experience of both national newspapers and the trade press. During that time he has held a range of technical and business-oriented positions in the IT field. These include editor of Software Futures and reporter on the technology section at The Daily Express. In 1995 he joined ComputerWire to work on Unix & NT News magazine, later holding the positions of news editor and finally deputy editor when the magazine was transferred to the Informa publishing house. During this time he was also news editor on the Unix newsletter UnigramX, as well as launching and editing Hard Drive, a monthly magazine covering the data storage industry. In June 1999 he moved back to ComputerWire to run the monthly title Software Futures, and a year later took the reigns of the online financial newsletter Mergers and Acquisitions Impact. He's also been involved in research work as one of the principal analysts for ComputerWire's bespoke Ask ComputerWire research service.
