Chat one-on-one with mylittletony on-line – and find out what the Prime Minister really thinks about the burning election issues

London, 9 April 2001 – Have you ever wanted your own private audience with our Prime Minister? Would you like the chance to find out what he really thinks about the day’s issues? Should we put asylum seekers in the Dome? Is foot and mouth here to stay? What’s it like to have Robin Askwith’s straight man as your father-in-law?

Now you need wait no longer. Politics finally entered the digital age today following the launch of www.mylittletony.com, an eye-popping interactive experience aimed at putting some fun back into politics.

The Stallion of Westminster has been tamed and delivered to Internet users in the shape of a mythical, animated figure, half Tony, half pony, that skips across the screen and provides funny and satirical answers to voters’ questions.

Available round-the-clock, mylittletony holds conversations with his public in real time, on a huge range of topics ranging from political policies and issues, to personalities, likes and dislikes, and the downright personal.

Visitors can do more than just ask questions of mylittletony. If they aren’t satisfied with the answers he provides they can submit their own via a special function on the site. The best answers received each week will win a prize. Another feature enables visitors to study transcripts of mylittletony’s conversations with other voters, thus helping to ensure that “spin” is kept to a minimum!

“People are already sick of the election,” said mylittletony, speaking from a secure location (so as not to be exposed to foot and mouth). “I’m here to put some fun back into politics and give people something to smile about during what is bound to be another brutal and ugly election battle.”
