BASINGSTOKE, April 10, 2001 – Platform Computing Inc., a global leader in Distributed Resource Management (DRM) solutions, today announced that Paul Hill, formerly of Adaytum, has been appointed Vice President of Business Development. He will be responsible for securing new OEM, application and hardware partners and expanding the company’s product line.

Prior to joining Platform Computing, Hill served as Vice President of Product Marketing and Business Development at Adaytum, a leading provider of business planning solutions. He was responsible for product strategy as well as technology alliances, OEMs and acquisitions. From 1995 to 1999, he served in various executive-level positions at Cognos Inc., the world's largest and most successful business intelligence company. During his tenure, he was Vice President of Business Development and later Vice President of Applications Marketing.

In addition, he held positions at Speedware Corporation, IBM Canada LTD., and Systems Management Associates. In 1998, Hill was named one of Ottawa’s “Forty Under 40” for his commitment to professional excellence and contributions to the community. He is a contributing writer to several prestigious publications as well as a past member of the High Technology Advisory Board and instructor with Algonquin College.
