In response to demands from companies and government for readily available business-standard Internet access, SDSL broadband is now available to a range of UK businesses. This is a result of the distribution agreement announced today between RC Networks and United Networks Ltd. RC Networks, Inc.™ is a leading provider of in-building broadband access solutions. United Networks is a specialist supplier, distributor and integrator of digital telecommunications equipment and access network systems.

The distribution agreement means that United Networks Ltd. will be able to provide access via a symmetrical, high-speed SDSL solution to tenants and building owners of serviced offices, managed premises such as multi-tenant unit (MTU) buildings and hotels. The solution exploits the capabilities of RC Networks’ product range distributed by United Networks.

“RC Networks’ products enable the property manager to offer value-added services, increasing the practicality and desirability of their facilities,” said Pat Nabhan, managing director at United Networks. “The solution uses the existing copper wire infrastructure so installation creates minimal disruption as there is no need for re-wiring. It is simply a case of placing a modem in each unit, connected via the telephone line. There already has been a very positive response to these SDSL services with this level of convenience and immediacy.”

“We are delighted to work with United Networks to address the need for in-building broadband access by delivering SDSL immediately to customers,” said Michelle Conyers, vice president of international sales at RC Networks. “United Networks consultants are knowledgeable and experienced in DSL and telecoms systems. Their expertise means that the company is ideally suited to distributing RC Networks’ SDSL solutions which complement the existing offerings.”

The RC8000Plus product family is a comprehensive range of next-generation DSL access concentrators that enable building owners to deliver value-added services such as Internet access, VoDSL, VoIP, video and VPN in one easy-to-install package. It offers advanced features that provide bandwidth flexibility and AnyPair™ technology that delivers in-building DSL access over existing in-use telephone wires.
