Towry Law, the leading independent financial adviser, has won yet more
awards for its technological excellence within the financial services
sector. Money Marketing's 'Best Use of New Media' award was accepted by
Towry Law's chief operating officer, Keith Webb on 29th March at the
Grosvenor House Hotel. This comes just two weeks after Towry Law won the
Financial Sector Technology prize for 'Best use of IT in insurance'.
Additionally, Towry Law came second in Money Marketing's 'Best Technology
IFA' category and third in the 'IFA Professional Development Award'.
The 'Best Use of New Media' award is further evidence of the success of
Towry Law's strategy to become a virtual operations company by using third
party experts to manage its non-core business activities. In 1999 Towry Law
formed a ten-year partnership with CMG Admiral in the UK to deliver
management consultancy and business-focused technology applications to
provide efficient independent financial services, whilst it has
concentrated on the provision of financial services. Towry Law's revenues have grown
from £23 million in 1998 to £61 million in 2000.
Towry Law has successfully completed the re-engineering of its entire
product and services supply chain in the three years it has worked with CMG
Admiral, using innovative approaches to old and new channels to market.
Towry Law is now placed at the forefront of key industry change, having
incorporated the development of new media, emerging technologies and
industry eCommerce standards, to enable seamless integration with product
providers and consumers.
Towry Law's use of new media has enhanced its brand image in the eyes of
consumers and within the market as a whole. In particular its use of CMG
Admiral's PIAS point-of-sale technology is enabling slick multimedia sales
demonstrations, better cross-selling facilities and improved customer
retention. And, integrating PIAS with Consultor, CMG Admiral's back office
system has meant Towry Law can conduct Straight Through Processing (STP),
benifitting both Towry Law and their business partners. This has led to a
20% reduction in its operational unit costs of business administration and
support for sales consultants and clients.
The 'Best Use of New Media' award also recognises the company's use of
internet technology. Its new website has been praised for appealing to
customers in an empathetic way, rather than simply offering brochure-ware.
And, its Stakeholder Pensions services have been commended for enabling B2C
customers to compare products online.
Keith Webb, chief operating officer, Towry Law, commented:
"The ongoing development of innovative new technology and media with CMG
Admiral continues to deliver tangible benefits to Towry Law. It's fantastic
for us that the achievements have been noticed and commended by external
Ken McCarthy, managing director, CMG Admiral Financial Services, said:
"It's great to win even more awards. Its great recognition of the
partnership that has been established between Towry Law and CMG Admiral and
the tremendous work that has been undertaken in re-engineering Towry Law's
supply chain. And we are not stopping here - we are already looking to add
further significant functionality to our solutions such as automatic policy
valuations. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Towry Law -
and hopefully to more awards in near future!"
