Caldera Systems Reaffirms its Support of Unified UNIX and Linux Technologies

SANTA CRUZ, CA-April 17, 2001-The Santa Cruz Operation, Inc. (SCO) (Nasdaq:

preview release of AIX 5L version 5.1, a commercial 64 bit UNIX operating

performance from infrastructure investments," said Allan Andersen, vice
president, enterprise management marketing, Computer Associates. "The
combination of SCO's advanced AIX 64-bit operating system and CA's Unicenter
TNG will enable companies to achieve and maintain that performance on their
Itanium-based systems as the scale and intensity of eBusiness applications
continue to grow."

For the technology preview release only of AIX 5L, licenses will be free of
charge and will not include support. Pricing and support for future releases
