Webridge Introduces PX 4.0: Enhanced, Complete
B2B Private Exchange Solution
Turnkey solution for £75,000 smashes enterprise-level price barrier, offers
ultra-rapid deployment and return on investment; scales to tens of thousands
of users

E-business software specialist Webridge today announced the availability of
the latest version of its pre-packaged B2B private exchange software suite.
Webridge PX 4.0 is claimed to be the first complete solution to integrate
collaborative portals, eCRM and online commerce, offering rapid deployment
and a fast return on investment.

Webridge PX 4.0 enables mid-size businesses and departments of large
companies to use the Web to integrate marketing, sales and collaborative
activities that support business transactions with customers and partners.
PX 4.0 is claimed to deliver this at a lower price point and in a fraction
of the time required to gain similar functions by integrating a series of
individual solutions.

The entry level cost for a turnkey solution is £75,000. Webridge says that
PX 4.0 can be deployed in as little as four weeks, and scales seamlessly to
tens of thousands of users for future growth and development.

Webridge PX 4.0 marks a radical departure in administration of e-business
solutions. IT managers maintain security of the overall site, but are able
to delegate the management of complex business processes to managers,
partners and customers - overcoming administration bottlenecks, giving cost
savings and ultimately increasing revenue.

Gregory Darmohray, director of Europe for Webridge commented: "As business
move their sales and marketing online, we recognise the importance of
enabling their marketing and sales professionals to handle ongoing
e-business relationships with valued customers and partners directly,
without having to rely on the IT department for every change. PX 4.0 makes
it easy for the individuals responsible for customer interactions to
delegate access, post new content for collaboration and add products to
sophisticated, personalised catalogues."

"As mid-sized companies seek out Web-based solutions to improve business
processes, enthusiasm for complete management of the customer is clearly
trending toward out-of-the box suites that offer more integrated
functionality and which can scale and extend as future needs change," said
Sheryl Kingstone of industry analysts, Yankee Group. "To meet the needs of
multi-channel selling, a complete private exchange solution must easily
integrate and grow with existing operational systems. By creating an easy
environment for conducting business, companies will foster deeper
relationships and improve the collaborative selling relationships with
existing customers and partners to grow revenue."

The £75,000 package includes Webridge PX framework, foundation site with
pre-built eBusiness applications, 50 'personalised' user licenses, unlimited
anonymous users plus project management services to cover installation,
configuration, 'look and feel ' customisation and user training. Webridge
PX 4.0 is built on Microsoft Commerce Server 2000.

"Webridge's extension of Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 with Webridge PX
provides the high level of commerce functionality available to mid-size
enterprises requiring comprehensive eBusiness solutions," said Michael
Risse, General Manager, .NET Developer Solutions Group at Microsoft.
"Furthermore, Webridge's dedication to evolving its architecture with the
.NET platform ensures that Webridge customers will continue to benefit from
an interoperable, extensible solution, ensuring smooth integration with
existing systems and fast deployment of future applications."
