PDA users to benefit from 'always-on' GPRS capability

LONDON - April 25, 2001 -, a leading mobile Internet
software provider, has been chosen by Mitsubishi Electric Telecom Europe
(METE) as a partner in the development of the Mondo, the latest GSM/GPRS
phone-enabled Pocket PC from Trium. BlueKite's technology will allow
Trium Mondo users to have a rich wireless Web browsing experience on a
hand held device with integrated phone. As part of the agreement, METE
and BlueKite will work together to introduce the Mondo to mobile
operators looking for innovative solutions to help them market their
mobile Internet offering.

BlueKite's optimisation software platform enables wireless Internet
browsing speeds to be increased by five times on average. As a result,
users can have mobile access to the full Internet on their Mondo at a
speed equivalent to a fixed-line Internet connection. Typical users
include mobile professionals and consumers who want to access
information and applications anytime, anywhere.

The Mondo runs on both GSM and GPRS (General Packet Radio Service)
networks. On GPRS networks, users benefit from an 'always on' connection
and will be able to access a wide range of new emerging applications and
services. The integration of the BlueKite's software further enhances
the benefits of GPRS by reducing data transmitted by eight times on
average, conserving valuable bandwidth and increasing performance speeds
without sacrificing quality. The device offered by Trium with fully
integrated software provides users with a full-featured wireless

Other features of the Mondo include a 166 MHz Intel processor,
integrated GSM/GPRS phone capabilities, and the full range of
Microsoft's Pocket PC software. In particular, users will have pocket
versions of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet Explorer.
BlueKite's software runs seamlessly with the Microsoft Pocket PC
software and is network independent, thereby optimising access over any
data-capable, IP-based network (e.g. GSM, GPRS, HSCSD, CDMA, and CDPD).

Jan Wiejak, managing director BlueKite Europe, said: "We are delighted
to be partnering with Mitsubishi Electric Telecom to provide fast
wireless Web access to the Trium Mondo users. As GPRS networks are being
rolled-out, devices such as the Mondo are ideally placed to take full
advantage of the benefits offered by GPRS. It is with devices such as
these - which combine a graphically rich mobile Web browsing experience
with full mobility - that widespread adoption of the mobile Internet
will become a reality."

"Trium has chosen to partner with BlueKite because we believe that their
solution adds great value to the Mondo users - the first phone enabled
Pocket PC with built-in GPRS," said Kouji Kodera, sales and marketing
manager for Mitsubishi Electric Telecom Europe - Trium.

BlueKite is currently working with a wide range of mobile operators in
Europe and the US to enable users to access the wireless Web quickly and
efficiently. Most recently, BlueKite announced that it would be working
with Telfort in the Netherlands on the roll-out of its GPRS offering.
Other customers include BT Cellnet, Sprint PCS, TAL hf, ONE (Connect
Austria), Swisscom and Telecel.
