Rapid Deployment And Enhanced Service Management Solutions Hit UK

BroadJump Inc, provider of software solutions for the efficient and rapid deployment of broadband services, has appointed UK based PR agency MCC International to champion the issue of ‘bridging the gap’ between broadband service providers and consumers. BroadJump solutions enable service providers to automate the service installation process and empower the consumer to manage his new high-speed connection thereby reducing costs, improving service deployment rates and improving the consumer’s experience.

Kenny Van Zant, COO, BroadJump, comments, “There continues to be much controversy within the press regarding broadband service deployment in the UK. With around 6 million broadband consumers to date globally but less than one percent of those in the UK, BroadJump will have a significant impact upon the increased deployment of broadband by UK service providers. In addition, BroadJump will enable service providers to go beyond initial service activation to seamlessly fulfilling applications and content over the last mile of copper for the consumer – all equating to a potentially vast broadband market in the UK.”

BroadJump currently commands more than 50 percent of the already deployed broadband services in North America. It has achieved this by creating and providing solutions for three fundamental areas: initial service activation; connection management; and value-added service fulfillment. BroadJump’s software facilitates the development and management of the service provider’s relationship with the broadband consumer by reducing service installation and management costs, while at the same time enabling the delivery of additional new services.

“In practice, broadband software companies are either offering sophisticated back-office tools to help service providers deliver connectivity, or developing content, such as streaming video or firewall applications”, continues Van Zant. Whilst both these areas are critical, it’s interesting to know that each operates independently of the other. The challenge is, therefore, how to integrate the service provider’s network with the consumer’s environment to seamlessly install and manage broadband service. Van Zant adds, “BroadJump bridges that gap between service providers and subscribers.”

Ian Peel, Director, MCC International, comments, “With UK broadband deployment in an ever increasing shambolic state, BroadJump, with its innovative approach to the market is poised to become the biggest broadband player in the UK – broadband providers and consumers will demand BroadJump solutions. Our role as the PR partner is to develop the positioning of BroadJump in the UK, and raise awareness of the issues of rapid and value-adding deployment of broadband services into the service provider sector.”
