Industry Leader Offers 20 Years of Front-line IT Sales Experience

Stoke-On-Trent, UK, May 8th: Live Information Systems (LIS) today announced the appointment of Dr. Patricia Morris to its Board of Directors. Dr. Morris, who joins the company as Business Development Director, has a wealth of experience in the IT and Internet industry having held Director roles with a number of successful hardware, software and solutions companies. Dr. Morris has been charged with developing a sales strategy to take LIS’s innovative Content Management Product, NIMOI™, into large blue-chip organisations. She assumes her role with immediate effect.

“Content Management Systems are fast becoming a must-have tool for modern business,” explains Morris. “The 21st Century enterprise generates an enormous amount of information that needs to be checked, approved, published, monitored and amended on an on-going basis. In NIMOI™, LIS has one of the most powerful yet flexible Content Management products on the market and I’m excited about the prospect of taking the product to larger organisations where there is a clear business need for information management.”

Dr. Morris is no stranger in offering solutions to markets eager to embrace cutting edge technology. During her 20 years in the IT sector, she enjoyed considerable success with a number of companies for which she worked including Digital Equipment Software, TTI Technology (US) Megatex Europe and Frontline Distribution Computing. In 1995 Dr. Morris launched a company called The Web Factory which, when it was sold, employed 150 people and counted General Motors, JCB, AGCO, Health and Safety Executive, Capital Bank and numerous other large public and private Blue Chip organisations amongst its clients.
“We will shortly be taking the company onto OFEX and Patricia’s appointment is central to our strategy of growth and development,” explains Matt Farrar, CEO of Live Information Systems. “Patricia’s resume contains success story after success story. Her ability to position technology within vertical markets will be of vital importance to LIS and we are very pleased to have her onboard.”

During her time at The Web Factory, Dr. Morris was named Business Woman Of The Year in 1997. In February 2001 she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Information Technology from Stafford University.

Dr. Morris also owns a stud farm where she breeds Danish purebred Showjumpers as a hobby.
