Software AG and Tridion partner to jointly market and sell integrated solution Friday 11 May 2001 PDF Print XML-based content management London, 11 May 2001 -- Software AG and Tridion today signed a partnership agreement. As part of the agreement, Tridion will integrate Tamino™ XML Database with its DialogServer content management solution. This integration is the result of very close cooperation between the two IT companies. The integrated solution will be marketed and sold jointly by Tridion and Software AG. A recent study conducted by Meta Group forecasts that in 2003 more than 95 percent of all G2000 companies will employ XML-based content management - the market that the new solution addresses. Andreas Zeitler, Software AG board member, responsible for sales, marketing and services, is enthusiastic about the partnership: "We look forward to working with Tridion and expect our cooperation to benefit both sides enormously." He continues, "In addition to our plans for joint marketing of the integrated solution, we will anchor our success even further by including the Tridion DialogServer XML-based Web content management product in our ISV partner program." Jouk Pleiter, President of Tridion, states: "Software AG is a strategic partner for us. Our combined XML expertise and implementation experience, coupled with the integration of Tridion DialogServer and Software AG's Tamino™ XML database and integration tools, will bring to market a complete XML-based e-business platform. This will dramatically accelerate the time-to-market of our customers' online business projects." Tridion DialogServer enables enterprises to publish, maintain and update their Web content efficiently. It provides them with a tool for uniform exchange of strategic content across many different multilingual websites and installations - on time and on budget. Thanks to its standards- and component-based, native XML architecture, Tridion DialogServer integrates seamlessly with a host of other enterprise software applications. Customers are thus able to realize complete end-to-end e-business solutions quickly. Tamino™ XML Platform features a broad range of XML-based products for the development and integration of applications and storage and processing of data. The backbone of the platform is Tamino™ XML Database - the only native XML database management system on the market. It stores and processes data in XML format without having to convert it first. The solution offers excellent scalability and reliability and is easier to administer than products that use XML simply as a data exchange format.
