Argogroup, the leading supplier of device intelligence for the wireless Internet, today
announced the launch of the Argogroup DevZone web site - an on-line resource designed to
assist application developers and industry professionals in deploying successful wireless

The site, which forms the centrepiece of the company's Developer
Relations Programme, emphasises Argogroup's commitment to providing device intelligence - and
complements the company's range of interoperability infrastructure products, tools, and

The DevZone's primary function is to provide a centralised repository of wireless device
information that helps service providers and application developers to understand the issues
and complexity created by wireless device diversity. As a result of using the site,
developers can speed up their design and development efforts. The site will, for example,
provide WAP device profiles in the standard UAProf format, as well as providing known
future-release schedules.

The DevZone will also contain a wide range of supporting resources for developers, such as
whitepapers on wireless architectural principles, industry news, tools for download and other
related Argogroup initiatives.

James Pearce, Argogroup's VP of Developer Relations, said, "Argogroup has traditionally
offered a lot of value to content providers, infrastructure providers, and platform vendors.
Using Argogroup products and services we have provided them with the opportunity to test,
measure and optimize their wireless content and services. The DevZone is a natural extension
of this; it provides rich lifecycle support for those organisations by strengthening the
Argogroup portfolio for pre-deployment activities."

Grant Lemke, the founder of WAPWednesday and Wireless Around People, agrees that Argogroup's
commitment to developers is a boost to the industry.

"Argogroup's wireless device knowledge is world-class, and it's really exciting to see this
being made available through this resource. Wireless Internet has such exciting potential,
but we need companies like Argogroup and resources like the DevZone to turn that potential
into reality. I applaud Argogroup for their commitment to the DevZone."
