One 2 One Showcases Visual Communications Solution Over Existing Wireless

MOBILEXPO - BIRMINGHAM, UK - 22nd May 2001 - LightSurf Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of technology, solutions and services for wireless digital media, today announced that it will be working with One 2 One, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom (NYSE: DT) and part of T-Mobile International, the European provider of mobile telecommunications services, to demonstrate Visual Messaging solutions over existing GPRS networks in the UK. One 2 One will deploy LightSurf's Visual Communications infrastructure and services to deliver instant wireless photography solutions and MMS-based visual messaging services.
LightSurf and One 2 One will be demonstrating instant visual messaging services powered by the LightSurf Technology Platform during the Mobilexpo conference at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham on May 22-24 in Booth C-22. Using a Motorola wireless handset and a Motorola clip-on digital camera, the service will allow users to capture an image and instantly create and send a wireless electronic-postcard message. Users will be able to add text annotation and comments to the image before sharing these electronic postcards as instant visual messages with anyone in the world. Using LightSurf's powerful MediaExchange technology, users will be able to share their electronic postcards and visual messages with wireless devices and PDAs, regardless of the network or service the recipients may be using. At Mobilexpo, LightSurf and One 2 One will demonstrate these solutions working with devices from the industry's leading wireless handset and PDA manufacturers.
