eXcelon Corporation today announced that Philip Lee has been appointed president of the Object Design division. Lee brings more than fifteen years of executive-level sales and marketing leadership with companies such as BBN, Interleaf and Oracle Corporation. Lee will report directly to Robert Goldman, eXcelon chairman and chief executive officer.

Lee will lead the Object Design division, which was established in January 2001. He is responsible for setting strategy and guiding Object Design’s day-to-day operations, including sales, marketing and professional services, as well as product planning and development.

Previously, Lee was president and CEO of Domain Pharma Corp. (now Clinsoft Corp) of Lexington, Mass., US, a spin-off of BBN Software Products Corp. At Domain Pharma he developed strategic plans, increased revenues, led a return to profitability and raised venture funding. Prior to joining Domain Pharma, Lee was vice president, worldwide sales and services for BBN Software Products Corp. where he managed sales, service and customer support.

Lee, 46, has also held executive sales and technical positions at Interleaf, Inc., Oracle Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation and General Motors. He holds both a bachelor of science degree and a master’s of engineering degree in operations research and industrial engineering from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Lee will be based in Burlington, Mass., US, Object Design’s worldwide headquarters.

Newly appointed Mustafa Atik, 36, will be responsible for all sales activities across Europe, Middle East and Africa with immediate effect. He is based in Theale, Berkshire, UK. Mustafa has over 13 years experience within the IT industry. He gained extensive experience in sectors such as finance, telecommunication, retail and manufacturing within the European, specifically the german markets.

Prior to joining Object Design he worked for Mirror Image Internet as Sales Manager, before that as Sales Manager for BMC Software Germany. Previously he was a Key Account Manager with Oracle and NEC. Mustafa Atik received his Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Frankfurt am Main Polytechnics in 1988.
