First Russian EMV transaction takes place on Hypercom ICE 5500 payment terminal Monday 4 June 2001 PDF Print Hypercom Corporation today announced that the first Russian EMV transaction has taken place on one of its ICE 5500 terminal. This historic transaction was facilitated by Hypercom, STB Card Processing Centre, and with a Barclays EMV MasterCard at the President Hotel in Moscow. The transaction was observed by 30 journalists together with representatives from Europay International and local Europay member banks. Jairo E.
