UK, 6th June 2001, DespatchBox, a software company specialising in applications that enable companies to use email for confidential business information, today announced the senior appointment of Ian Miles as commercial director. Ian joins DespatchBox following a 20 year career at Hewlett-Packard where he was UK director and general manager and most recently managing director of Baywalk, an IT consultancy specialising in sales and marketing.

Miles was most recently managing director for Baywalk Ltd, a management consultancy advising companies such as Orange, Baltimore Technologies, Hewlett Packard and Silicon Graphics on matters of sales, marketing and logistics strategies and implementation.

Prior to Baywalk, Miles was UK director and general manager for Hewlett Packard, fully responsible for UK Computer Products, including PC's, printers, information storage and UNIX systems. Working both in the UK and Internationally, under his leadership he successfully grew this business from annual revenue of $30 million to over $1 Billion and eventually employing more than 200 people.

Ian Miles joins a number of leading, experienced and visionary e-security professionals involved in DespatchBox including Bijan Khezri, non-executive director, formally executive vice president and director of Baltimore Technologies plc; Martin Williams former finance director of Baltimore Technologies plc; Keith Perrett, former operations director of Dr Solomon's Group plc; David Stephens, former financial director of Dr Solomon's Group plc; Geoff Leary, former CEO of Dr Solomon's Group plc; Professor Henry Beker, founder, and former CEO and Chairman of Zergo Holdings, which in 1999 became Baltimore Technologies and Matthew Bowcock, former board director and executive vice president, Corporate Development, of Baltimore Technologies plc and founder of Security Domain, which was acquired by Baltimore Technologies plc. Matthew Bowcock is Chairman of DESPATCHBOX Ltd.

DespatchBox recently launched its Datadelivery 'off the shelf' secure PKI-based application package. The solution, which integrates with existing email systems, combines encryption, message tracking, proof of delivery/non repudiation, tamper-proofing, alerting, and audit trail functionality ensuring that all information exchanged is secure and 'legally admissible' in a court of law.

The DespatchBox DataDelivery solution is sold on a licence per user basis, making PKI technology affordable and easy to deploy for any business.
