To maximise the benefits of the CG 6100C's density, on-board digital signal processors (DSP)
provide up to 120 ports of IVR and fax functions, handle on-board echo cancellation, perform
CAS (Channel Associated Signalling) and ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network)
signalling, and can supply call-control features such as DTMF tone handling (to detect and
generate touch-tone signals). By reducing overhead on a system's main processor and
eliminating the need for extra resource boards, these integrated capabilities enable
developers to design cost-effective, single-chassis systems that can scale to high

Group's hot-swap standard, which allows CG 6100C boards to be added, removed or replaced
without halting operation of a working system.
Like other NMS platforms, the CG 6100C Series takes advantage of the Natural Access™

operating systems. Natural Access speeds development of new communications solutions built
with NMS technology by providing a set of application program interfaces (APIs) that are
