New offering designed to address rapidly expanding worldwide market for storage services
forecast to reach $40bn by 2003.

London 20 June 2001 - CityReach International (CRI), the leading pan-European provider of
infrastructure and managed services for the Business Internet, today announced the launch of
its DataCare Storage on Demand service, a new managed storage service - based on the same
information storage infrastructure used by 95 per cent of Fortune 100 companies - leveraged
through CityReach International's strategic relationship with EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC).

EMC is providing CityReach International with information storage, high availability and
disaster recovery capability at its European sites, starting with London and Dublin and
moving on to CityReach International's other centres in Amsterdam, Stockholm, Budapest,
Berlin, Munich and Paris. CityReach International is using this capability as the foundation
for its first fully managed storage service, designed to meet the flexibility and scalability
requirements of the new generation of SIs, ASPs and web hosters that service the major

The new CityReach International DataCare service is designed to address the phenomenal growth
in data storage which represents a growing headache to already overstretched IT departments.
Independent research* indicates that online storage needs of the global top 2500 companies
are expected to grow at a rate of 78 per cent annually over the next three years.

"There's clearly an acute need for the storage services that CityReach International is
launching today," said Sanjaya Addanki, CityReach International's chief executive officer.
"Current forecasts predict that data storage requirements will rise ten fold over the next 5
years and even this year we can expect storage-related costs to constitute 70 per cent to 80
per cent of all IT infrastructure purchases. For far-sighted companies embracing CityReach
International's storage solutions, cost savings of up to 70 per cent can be realised over
building and operating an equivalent solution in-house. And perhaps more importantly, we can
drastically cut the lead time to implement the solution."

"Our DataCare services combine the best of everything - CityReach International's industry
leading facilities, EMC information storage and top-flight 24x7 management expertise - to
create a top-class service for our customers", continues Addanki. "It's all part of the
CityReach International philosophy which is all about helping our customers to focus on their
core business rather than devoting valuable time and resource to the support services that
underpin it."

"One of the major challenges facing all our customers today is the need to virtually
eliminate downtime; as companies move their mission critical business applications to the
web, they simply cannot afford the luxury of maintenance windows. EMC information storage is
specifically designed with these requirements in mind, thereby complementing our portfolio
perfectly. And in addition to that, our Dublin site is ideally placed to host EMC customers
who are moving from their Cork incubator centre to long-term hosting locations."

CityReach International's decision to deploy an EMC information storage infrastructure
enables its own customers to avail themselves of EMC-based solutions. By adding EMC-based
managed storage to its integrated stack of scalable managed services, which include managed
security, systems and database services, CityReach International will further enhance its
leading position as laying the most exacting foundation for the Business Internet in Europe
and beyond.

Marcus Hill, director of Ebusiness, EMEA, at EMC comments: "Information is fast becoming the
most valuable asset in today's economy, and how you manage information is a key
differentiator. It is absolutely critical for Internet Businesses to run a highly available
and highly scalable storage environment. Using their combined expertise, CityReach
International and EMC have worked closely together to ensure that CityReach International
offers the secure foundation needed to build and maintain an infrastructure that's right for
Internet Businesses. Safely."

Unlike traditional carrier hotels, co-location and application hosting providers which offer
little more than 'rack-based real estate' and are designed to serve the IP environment with
its high tolerance of failure, CityReach International is rooted in the mission-critical,
zero tolerance, corporate IT culture.
