* New low-cost Network Operation Centre

* United Business Media International pilot system

London, 22.6.01: Leading IT services group, Deverill has announced a Remote Network Management Service for a range of companies and unveiled a new Network Operation Centre (NOC) based in Poole, Dorset.

Using NetworkIT remote management software tool from Computer Associates(CA), one of the world's foremost eBusiness software leaders, Deverill will be able to remotely manage, monitor and control the daily operations of their clients' IT environments -- transparently to users.

Says Tony Fisher, 'The service enables companies access to the many benefits offered by the type of network management tools typically used by large businesses which, until now, have been too costly to implement. Through an outsourced structure, our customers can now leave Deverill to manage and optimise their network resources, freeing up their valuable IT staff to focus on objectives that are strategic to their business.'

Amongst the benefits offered by Deverill's NOC is 24-hour remote monitoring, simplified management, optimisation of network resources, quicker response/resolution and enhanced eBusiness performance at a fraction of the cost of in-house technology and resources.

Charges to monitor servers, routers, switches and connectivity start at £10k per annum for a small network moving to approximately £250k per annum for larger customers.

Fisher says, 'We only recently announced the service to our exisiting customers and already we've had a huge amount of interest. In fact, United Business Media International have just completed a pilot for the continuous monitoring of their IT infrastructure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week'.
