28 June 2001, Basingstoke, UK and Newark, CA - iOra (,
supplier of solutions for managing mobile content, today announced that
NTL, Europe's leading broadband communications company has implemented
iOra's software solution to deliver and manage information for its field
engineers. NTL has chosen iOra's solution to ensure that the engineering
workforce has access to vital information they need for maintenance work at
remote locations.

Technical information that engineers need while they are on-site is held on
a corporate intranet. This information, which includes technical diagrams
and connectivity details for many different types of installation, is
updated almost daily. With engineers based mainly in the field or remote
locations, this presented a problem of how to keep a large mobile workforce
up-to-date with the information needed to complete maintenance effectively.

Using iOra's software solution the intranet is maintained on the engineers'
laptops, giving them immediate access to the information - without having
to dial up. Updates are automatically delivered and applied whenever an
engineer dials up to collect email or access the Internet.

Andy Smith, at NTL's specialist support group, who developed the intranet
explained, "The ultimate aim of the intranet is to enable engineers to
share the latest knowledge quickly and easily. Keeping a mobile workforce
up-to-date is a huge challenge, and iOra solves that challenge. Now every
engineer always has the latest technical information on location."

Andy Smith continued, "iOra's technology has helped us to improve our
processes and productivity, and allowed our mobile workforce practical
access to information that is vital for them to perform their jobs

Paddy Falls, CEO of iOra commented, "This is a great example of how iOra's
solution improves productivity and efficiency, solving a common business
problem - how to keep remote and mobile workers up-to-date with information
they need to do their jobs."
