Messaging experts Essential Computing Ltd announce version 2.1 of Exchange Archive Solution (EAS) the archiving solution for Microsoft Exchange from Canadian authors Educom TS Inc.
A growing global presence has led to the introduction of support for over 20 different languages and dialects. Users are now able to search email archives with local language on-screen assistance and International Character set searching, including Japanese.
“The archive solution needed to be able to handle large and geographically dispersed user communities, this required International language support. It also demanded performance that would process millions of messages within a four hour window", stated Tom Dobaj, EDUCOM's Chief Technical Officer.
Dobaj went on to say "EAS 2.1's performance has more than quadrupled that of the earlier version. We are processing mail at speeds rated in minutes that exceed what some of our competitors rate in hours.”
EAS addresses the space management problems facing practically all Exchange installations. In a recent survey conducted by EDUCOM TS, 97% of the sites surveyed said their e-mail stores had grown faster than predicted, and 72% of the organisations had in excess of 50% growth during the last six-month period.
In addition EAS is helping organisations tackle productivity and legislative compliance issues.
Exchange archiving is a growing area with a number of competing solutions.
Andy Moffat, CEO of Educom TS Inc. recently asked about the competition to EAS, stated, "We thank our lucky stars that we have competition. By ourselves we look good. When compared with what else is out there, we look great. And, at a price that is hard to compete with."
