RAC choses Chordiant Marketing Director Suite 3 as part of a major new customer communication

LONDON - July 6, 2001 - Chordiant Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRD), a leader in Unifying
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Solutions, today announced that motoring services
company RAC has chosen Chordiant Marketing Director Suite 3 as part of a major new programme
intended to enable RAC to be even more responsive to the needs of its customers by becoming
more customer centric in its focus. Chordiant Marketing Director will provide RAC with the
improved capability to develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns that respond
to the customer's individual circumstances in real-time. Marketing Director is a key tool in
the use of RAC's unique Customer Data Warehouse, which will go live in July after a
nine-month development period.
