Pacific Rim Expansion to Build Upon Strong U.S. and European Customer Base

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - July 10, 2001 -, a leading mobile Internet software
provider, has expanded into Asian/Pacific markets after successful product deployments and
customer acquisitions in Europe and the U.S. Through a partnership with 2M Services, BlueKite
will be able to expand into the most progressive mobile market in the world, while building
on several current relationships with modem and device manufacturers, including Mitsubushi
Electric Corporation in Japan, and Cyberbank Corp. in Korea.

BlueKite's optimisation platform will enable Asian mobile operators to deploy 3G-type
services on today's 2G and 2.5G networks by significantly improving mobile Internet
performance speeds. With a large mobile Internet install-base already in place, Asian
operators will be able to more effectively differentiate service offerings and roll out rich
content services and applications by employing BlueKite technology.

"With the widespread use of 2.5G networks throughout Asia combined with BlueKite's
optimisation platform, end users will realise there's no reason to wait for 3G," said Eric
Colard, BlueKite's vice president of business development. "By using BlueKite technology,
mobile operators are able to offer additional value-added data services, while reducing
overall costs."

By working with 2M Services, BlueKite will be able to provide local sales and technical
support to customers and partners. 2M Services has offices in China, Hong Kong, Korea,
Singapore, and Taiwan. To further strengthen its operations, BlueKite has opened a
demonstration center in Hong Kong, accessible from anywhere in Asia, for companies to
evaluate its wireless optimization technology.

BlueKite was recently the first company to offer optimization technology compatible for
Pocket PC devices, including Compaq's iPaq, Hewlett-Packard's Jornada, Casio's Cassiopeia,
and Mitsubishi's Trium Mondo. Korean-based Cyberbank Corp. is currently testing BlueKite's
v4.0 software to integrate with its new PC-EPhone - a next-generation Pocket PC and mobile
phone hybrid device.

"By using BlueKite software, the PC-EPhone becomes a more powerful device for accessing the
Internet in a mobile fashion, effectively empowering end users and making their lives simpler
and easier," said Jin Woo Park Cyberbank's marketing director.

BlueKite also partners with GTRAN Wireless, a leading global deployer of wireless
transmission products with a strong Korean presence, to enhance GTRAN's DotSurfer™ wireless
PC modem card to achieve high-speed data rates of up to 144Kbps. Last year, GTRAN Wireless
was the first company to launch a true PCMCIA Type II data card solution for CDMA IS-95

"Partnering with BlueKite allows GTRAN to offer mobile operators a more complete value-added
wireless data service," said Deepak Mehrotra, chief executive officer of GTRAN Wireless. "We
expect to build upon our strong Asian presence with BlueKite's optimisation platform."

BlueKite's proven technology enables service providers to build profitable revenue streams
from current networks through bandwidth optimisation, content delivery management, and
service support. Service providers can also accommodate more users over constrained wireless
spectrum by deploying BlueKite's optimization technology, which reduces the amount of data
sent over packet-switched networks by an average factor of eight. This is achieved by
reducing overhead, latency, and redundancy while still giving end users a rich Web experience
by delivering Internet content in its full, original form.

Established in 1997, BlueKite is a leading Internet software company that provides a platform
enabling the efficient delivery of rich content to mobile computing devices. Service
providers around the globe such as BT Cellnet, Connect Austria, Sprint PCS, Swisscom, and
Telfort have built mobile Internet services upon BlueKite's technology. BlueKite also
partners with device manufacturers, including Mitsubishi Electric Telecom and Sierra
Wireless, to offer enhanced wireless data services.

Headquartered in San Francisco, BlueKite has an engineering and design center in southern
California and European operations in the UK, France, Denmark, and the Netherlands. For more
