Draper Jaffray Leads Sales Force To Strengthen Sealedmedia’s Presence In The U.S


SealedMedia, the first company to provide a cross-media solution for dynamically securing and selling content on the Internet, today announced that Draper Jaffray was appointed vice president of sales in the U.S. With over 15 years of experience in sales, business development and management, Draper will bring his deep knowledge in the Internet infrastructure and services sector to lead the SealedMedia sales force.

Jaffray comes to SealedMedia with almost two decades of experience as a “serial entrepreneur” within technology start-ups. Prior to joining SealedMedia, Jaffray held various executive positions, most recently as a “Venture Catalyst” at Crescendo Ventures. During his tenure at Crescendo, Jaffray fostered companies from the inception of business plans to successful enterprises. While at Crescendo, he founded Xtalis, NV, an innovative Managed Services company based in Amsterdam poised to become a Web Services leader throughout Europe. Jaffray served as the interim CEO for Xtalis where he led 58 employees to establish operating subsidiaries in four countries and garner 1000 clients in two European markets.

Before Xtalis, he founded and served as vice president of business development at Digital River, Inc., a start-up that grew to an e-commerce ASP. While at Digital River, Inc., Jaffray established and implemented a comprehensive sales strategy that resulted in the signing of over 7000 Channel and Publishers contracts. Gross revenues swelled from $0 to $100 million during his four-year tenure and Jaffray played a key role in bringing the company public in 1998. Jaffray has also served as director of sales at Technology Squared, a computer peripherals company. Within three years, he took the company to three different sales channels and drove annual revenues from $5 million to over $50 million. Earlier in his career, Jaffray helped the Aldus Corporation become a desktop publishing industry leader and software industry success.
