London, UK, July 11th 2001: High-speed Internet and data networks provider, Centric Telecom, expects to make groundbreaking savings in its financial operation by subscribing to Concur Technologies’ Inc. (NASDAQ: CNQR) automated expense management service. Centric is also depending on Concur’s solution to keep costs down as it expands into Europe.

As part of its long-term growth plan, Centric decided to cut out manual expense reporting, which created a bottleneck and wasted time and money. Concur Expense™, was the ideal remedy, accessible via a reliable web interface and offering guaranteed ROI within six months.

Concur’s user-friendly online reporting also fitted in with the company’s web-based philosophy and its aim to move to a globally accessible intranet. There is also the option of transferring corporate charge card data directly from Amex into the system.

“Concur Expense™ allows our employees to claim and have expenses approved from anywhere in the world, via the web, with no pressure to have reams of paper constantly to hand,” said Mike Cox, Centric Financial Director. “Concur is helping us to realise our policy of making employees fully aware of the benefits of the corporate intranet whilst maximising efficiency.”

“Centric, like other expanding companies in our client base, understands that subscribing to ASPs can take the burden from their finance departments,” said Simon Nelson, General Manager EMEA. “Concur has a proven record in improving business efficiency, and in helping companies like Centric, who are thinking big, to keep costs down”.

Centric Telecom chooses Concur to automate T&E expenses

Currently 30 employees in the UK use Concur Expense™, chosen for its web-based interface (which fitted in with the Centric philosophy) and its pricing model, which presents clients with a monthly bill, based on transaction volume.

Centric’s selection of Concur makes them one of three new British clients in the last the weeks to subscribe to the advantages of outsourcing expense claims processing, freeing up accounts staff to refine corporate policy and negotiate strategic discounts.
