RoboER award winning software now part of Targetfour's portfolio of system management products
Welwyn Garden City, Herts, UK – 17th July, 2001 --- Heroix Corporation, a leader in ebusiness automated infrastructure management software, today announced that Targetfour will be a dedicated channel partner for the SME market selling Heroix’ award winning RoboER, Emergency Access & Repair software for Windows NT/2000.
With Targetfour's expertise within the systems management arena RoboER provides a synergy with their current portfolio of products. Heroix RoboER provides TargetFour with a strategic product that compliments Targetfour’s range of business solutions for todays heterogeneous IT environments.
"Targetfour have specialized in "Systems Management" products for over four years. Our strategy is to deliver integrated software solutions to meet business needs thereby driving efficiencies and reducing the Total Cost of Ownership of IT", said Peter Lench, Sales Manager at Targetfour. "The adoption of Windows NT/2000, running business critical software applications, ensuring server availability and the widespread acceptance of SLA's (Service Level Agreements), RoboER is a cost effective way of bringing a server back to life quickly without re-booting the system. We have found that RoboER serves this purpose well and is not only an award winning product but a MUST HAVE for companies running NT servers. RoboER quite simply adds value to our customers sites".
RoboER allows administrators working from almost anywhere to minimise their systems downtime by providing emergency access to their Windows NT/2000 servers. The command line solution allows access to crippled Windows NT/2000 servers via either TCP/IP or a serial port. This gives access to systems even if the GUI is down or experiencing similar fatal problems, which would not be possible with remote GUI products. By running at high priority and using its command line access, RoboER can utilise its rich management toolset to assist the resolution of potentially damaging issues without the need to reboot the server.
Paul Roxan, MD of Heroix EMEA, says “RoboER was developed based on a demand within IT to manage Windows NT/2000 systems remotely and unattended. We look forward to working with Targetfour and enabling their customers to utilise our award winning emergency access and repair tool".
RoboER - Already Tried and Tested
RoboER has proved invaluable to Computershare, a market leader in Bureau Share Registry products and services. Computershare needed systems that are always accessible and with a growing global network being used 24 hours a day it became essential. If one of their systems goes down they now have the ability to access them remotely. With remote servers running state-of-the-art stock exchange systems, integrated broker systems and professional share registration services, Computershare find it imperative to minimise system downtime
Nick Fisher - Server Support Manager said, "RoboER allows us to sort out problems with minimum downtime. It is a valuable addition to our support ‘toolkit’".
