18 July 2001, - UK network management specialist Chevin has forged a distribution agreement with Align Communications to increase the penetration of its suite of network management products in the US. Under the terms of the agreement Align Communications will distribute Chevin’s total visibility network management system, TeVISTA. Established as one of the US’ leading networking specialists with a reputable customer base, Align is recognised for its expertise in network design, management, infrastructure build out and integration and will provide Chevin with a more extensive reach into the US network management market. Chevin and Align will continue to strengthen their relationship with further ongoing joint marketing activities.

TeVISTA is designed to provide a fully detailed view of network performance, characteristics that traditional monitoring tools using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) are unable to access. By using this intelligent method of seeking information, TeVISTA is able to provide knowledge about critical features of network activity, which can affect network performance such as, bandwidth utilisation, number of broadcasts and multicasts, number of conversations taking place on the network and the number of protocols being used.
