19 July, 2001 – Chevin, a leading provider of innovative software systems that enable organisations to manage and optimise their mission-critical networks, today launched Chevin Premier Partners, its support and incentive programme for UK channel partners. Chevin is seeking to assemble a group of specialist network VARs to drive sales of its flagship product TeVISTA, a total visibility network management system.

Chevin Premier Partners is open to all VARs with a specialism in deploying mission-critical LANs and also providing ongoing network support services. Chevin will work directly with VAR partners to provide technical support; marketing activities, training, product information and sales lead generation.

“Most channel programmes in networking promise much but in reality deliver far less,” said Koby Amedume, Chevin’s VP of global marketing. “Chevin Premier Partners is built to set realistic expectations and deliver on them. We want to ensure that we have the channel support infrastructure absolutely right to drive sales of what is a fantastic product.”

TeVISTA not only offers superior network management performance for customers, but also enables resellers to develop more strategic relationships with their customers. By seeing everything on the network, the product can detect devices and applications that regular management tools cannot, so enable resellers to give clear and tangible advice on network investment.

TeVISTA is designed to provide a fully detailed view of network performance, characteristics that traditional monitoring tools using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) are unable to access. TeVISTA provides total visibility of everything on a network in real time by gathering information from the ‘wire’ without relying on polling devices on the network. By using this intelligent method of seeking information, TeVISTA alleviates the burden on network bandwidth that other SNMP based management systems can cause.

Chevin Premier Partners offers VARs:

· 2 Copies of TeVISTA (Not for resale)

· Up to 50% margin (50% margin relates to annual sales of £120,000)

· Technical training at Chevin

· On-Site sales training

· Web Visibility & Online Product Demo’s

· Field Account Management

· Ongoing Technical Support

· Co-op Marketing available

· Chevin generated leads

“We aim to partner with a limited number of VARs in the UK who will have the opportunity to benefit enormously from TeVISTA. We have already seen phenomenal interest in TeVISTA from VARs we have contacted. We are not yet a household name, but when people get their hands on the technology the user benefits and margin opportunities are all too clear,” added Amedume.
