These results are consistent with the preliminary second-quarter results the company announced on 9 July 2001. Second-quarter 2001 revenues were $12.2 million, up 11 percent from $11.0 million for the first quarter, and up 1 percent from $12.1 million for the same period last year. Pro forma net loss for the second quarter of 2001 was $2.4 million, or a diluted net loss per share of 10 cents, excluding $526,000 of amortisation expense for deferred stock compensation and a restructuring charge of $789,000 related to a workforce reduction and other cost-cutting initiatives. Including these charges, net loss for the second quarter of 2001 was $3.7 million, or a diluted net loss per share of 16 cents. This compared with a net loss of $4.8 million, or 20 cents per diluted share, sequentially, and net income of $1.3 million, or 5 cents per diluted share, for the same quarter a year ago.
